2x in Two Weeks. What has my life become?

This was a big two weeks for me because I actually surfed twice. First time in months. What has my life become? I used to paddle out four times a week, occasionally more. <Sigh>

Surfing?

I have once again forgotten what surfing feels like. When's the next swell?

San Elijo

I paddled out with a beginner friend of mine under the San Elijo bluffs in Cardiff. The waves were better than I expected although not much to write about. The ocean was churning out a plentiful supply of waist high rollers. We were out for about an hour in the morning and it was fun as always. The sun burned away the morning gray about half way through our session.

I was happy to make use of my California Parks Annual Day Use Pass. I rarely use it for anything but after work Seaside sessions. At least this was (marginally) different than that.

Flat

... again. Surfline's saying another 5 days+ before we see any semblance of waves.

11th Street

Last night 11th Street was going off. I only got three monsters before the sunset but they were worth 10 normal sessions.
